Panasonic Z95B review: OLED opulence...
If you're in the market for classic OLED TV quality and don't want a separate soundbar, then you can't do any better than the Panasonic Z95B. It's a shame not all the HDMI ports are the 2.1 standard for future-proofing, but when you see the superb cinematic picture quality this set can deliver, you'll be mind-blown. It sounds great, too, thanks to an integrated 5.1.2 surround system that's capable of delivering Dolby Atmos. All of which makes the Panasonic Z95B a superstar – and even those in the USA finally get to experience it. Here's hoping the established competition doesn't cause people to overlook it, therefore, as with this competitive launch price, people should very much have their eyes on Panasonic's latest and greatest.
Pros
- Cinematic picture quality is among the best of any OLED TV today
- Integrated 5.1.2 sound system delivers Dolby Atmos convincingly
- Price proposition is competitive, undercutting key rivals at launch
- Doesn't overdo anti-reflective coating, furthering black level
Cons
- Only two of four HDMI ports are 2.1 standard (for 4K/120Hz)
- Anti-reflective coating not as significant as Samsung S95F
- Not everyone will want the integrated sound system
- Fire OS still has some ads, like it or not
