At a super-low price-tag (even lower if you shop during sales periods), it’s genuinely hard to fault. If you want the prettiest gradients in the room, you’ll need to pay for them. But if you want a reliable, versatile smart floor lamp that doesn’t feel cheap and plays nicely with every major ecosystem, this is the standout value pick.

Ultimately, the SwitchBot AI Art Frame is an interesting addition to any living room or study and offers an exciting way to display your own pictures and screenshots. Thanks to the E-Ink display, art-like motifs in particular are shown to their best advantage, while the screen is noticeably inferior to digital picture frames when it comes to classic photos.

With 10,000 Pascal, the manufacturer simply lags behind the competition. While the performance can shine on hard floors, it is somewhat weak on carpets. This is especially true for long-pile carpets. In corners, you can also feel that the side brush unfortunately cannot be extended. The RevoRoll mopping system with rotating roller cleans thoroughly and evenly, but disappoints in the edges and corners.

An improvement over the company’s previous smart locks, the SwitchBot Lock Ultra looks neater, has a wider range of installation options, and is more powerful and quieter, too. It’s also full of options to deal with potential problems, including triple power backup, and the option to still use a key. The new KeyPad Vision adds the option for face unlock, which makes this product potentially handsfree in use; you can still use the older, cheaper keypads if you prefer. Slightly more flexibility on when shared lock codes can be used would be nice, but if you want a smart way to upgrade your dumb lock, this Matter compatible option is a brilliant choice.

The SwitchBot S20 is an easy recommendation if you’re after a capable robot vacuum/mop without breaking the bank. Its roller mop system is a standout and on a par with much more premium rivals, it cleans hard floors really well, and its app and integrations are nearly as good as alternatives that cost twice as much. Downsides like noisy docking, average corner coverage, and underwhelming carpet performance at lower suction levels are worth keeping in mind but, overall, the S20 punches well above its price.

The SwitchBot K11+ is an exciting robot vacuum that stands out from many of its competitors thanks to its compact design and powerful suction performance. It really comes into its own in smaller homes: The dock takes up little space, the robot itself is maneuverable and, thanks to the suction station, you rarely have to worry about emptying it. The device’s strengths clearly lie in its compact form factor, but also in its good suction power, reliable navigation, smart home integration and app control.

In particular, the indoor screen included in the scope of delivery proves to be a big plus point in practice, as it allows the doorbell to be used independently of a smartphone, making it accessible to the whole family. A neat device for keeping track of temperature, humidity and CO2 levels, the SwitchBot Meter Pro CO2 Monitor gives you an always-on comfort tracker. It collects loads of data, which may be useful to some and really comes alive, in my opinion, when paired with an outdoor sensor. As useful as this device is, it’s expensive and even more so when you include the price of an outdoor temperature sensor. It’s also a little fiddly to use and lacks some basic features, such as a quick way to switch between indoor and outdoor readings.

A powerful upgrade, the SwitchBot Hub 3 adds support for more Matter devices (30), but its real innovation is in how it’s supposed to be used. This isn’t a hub for the cupboard, but something for the desk or wall. With its climate read-out on its screen, it’s a useful information hub, but it’s the clever controls that set it apart from the competition and make it an incredibly useful device.

A clever idea, the SwitchBot Roller Shade uses adjustable mounting brackets and a clever cutting system to get them to fit to almost any sized window. That’s great in theory, but it does make these blinds slower to fit than pre-made ones that have been pre-cut to match your window sizes. These blinds are smooth and quiet in operation, and respond quickly when using the wired or Bluetooth remotes. App control can be a bit hit and miss, and occasionally proved slow to respond. It’s good to see Matter support (provided you have a compatible hub). It’s the lack of choice that will put most people off: with just grey or white on offer, the SwitchBot Roller Shade risks being a little dull for most homes.
