The Eufy E25 Omni is a very capable hybrid, delivering good vacuuming and impressive mopping performance for a reasonable price. The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 definitely doesn't do everything perfectly in our test. But it does most things solidly to well and offers interesting features for many households at an attractive price. Anyone looking for high suction power for carpets will be well served here. The prerequisite is that you don't have too high demands on mopping and anti-hair tangling. The floor should also be reasonably tidy, as the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 failed on small obstacles in the test. The same applies to door thresholds and the like over 2 cm. However, this is all manageable, especially in relation to the recommended retail price of just under 600 euros. Especially as the price includes a comprehensive cleaning station with suction, mop washing and detergent dosing. If you're looking for a practical robot vacuum with a mopping function and don't want to pay the four-figure prices of the flagship models, the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3 is a good choice overall. In short: appealing performance at an attractive price.

The Dreame Matrix10 Ultra is easily the most advanced and user-friendly robot vacuum I’ve tested, with cutting-edge tech and effortless automation, all controlled through the excellent Dreamehome app. The only real downsides are the high price and short power cable, but if you want a robot vacuum and mop that truly raises the bar, the Matrix10 Ultra is in a league of its own.

The SwitchBot S20 shines in the mopping department, thanks to a self-cleaning roller mop. Vacuuming is decent, too, and it boasts some of the best object detection I've ever seen. However, there are some quirks. It's rather noisy, and can be erratic in its navigation. It also isn't good at switching back to vacuuming following a mopping session. With the SwitchBot S20, SwitchBot is trying to shake up the upper middle class of robot vacuums, but fails in several areas. It starts with the suction power. With 10,000 Pascal, the manufacturer simply lags behind the competition. While the performance can shine on hard floors, it is somewhat weak on carpets. This is especially true for long-pile carpets. In corners, you can also feel that the side brush unfortunately cannot be extended. The RevoRoll mopping system with rotating roller cleans thoroughly and evenly, but disappoints in the edges and corners.

The SwitchBot K11+ is an exciting robot vacuum that stands out from many of its competitors thanks to its compact design and powerful suction performance. It really comes into its own in smaller homes: The dock takes up little space, the robot itself is maneuverable and, thanks to the suction station, you rarely have to worry about emptying it. The device’s strengths clearly lie in its compact form factor, but also in its good suction power, reliable navigation, smart home integration and app control.

Is the Roborock Saros Z70 impressive? Without a doubt! When it extends its arm, your eyes go wide (at least the first few times). It's impressive when the robot vacuum clears its own path to clean the entire area and also helps with tidying up. Technically, the Saros Z70 is undoubtedly the most exciting representative of its kind currently on the market, even if not everything went smoothly in our test. Apart from the OmniGrip robotic arm, the other features are also of a high standard and comparable with the Saros 10R. Do you need the Roborock Saros Z70? In our opinion, not necessarily, as the options are (still) very limited and the price is even higher than other flagship robot vacuum cleaners. At the moment, it can only clear socks, shoes and a few other things out of the way, which is still not really reliable and can also be done quickly with a little tidying up in your own four walls. But for those who enjoy technical innovation, the Saros Z70 from Roborock is currently (still) the most exciting robot vacuum.

The eufy Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 E20 is a versatile bot that can triple up as both a handheld and stick-vac. It can't mop your floors, but that's about the only thing it doesn't do, and all for less than $600.

There is a lot to love about the ECOVACS Deebot X9 Pro Omni, including its self-cleaning functions, heated mop dryer in the base station, and next-gen AI-powered navigation and mapping. It's expensive and isn't the very best we've seen in its price range, but it gets around safely, and does a great job cleaning both your carpets and hard floors.

The Roborock Saros Z70 is the company's best robot vacuum to date, but only in a vacuum (pun intended). It cleans as well as anything we've seen, navigates very well, and its object detection is second to none. But it also costs $1,000 more than the Saros 10R, which already does all of that to the same standard, and in its current state, the innovative-yet-deeply-flawed OmniGrip robot arm doesn't offer enough value to cover the huge price hike.

The eufy Omni E28 is a reliable enough robot vacuum that cleans hard and carpeted floors very well, but the real reason to consider buying one is the unique base station that can split into a portable deep cleaner, which is great for getting tough stains out of carpets. It isn't the best robovac in isolation, but the combo means you get a lot of cleaning power for the price tag.

The Roborock Qrevo S5V is a well-priced robot vacuum and a highly-capable autonomous floor cleaning system. It cleans hard floors and carpets very well, and gets into the corners and underneath furniture with ease. Higher-end models boast greater capacities, but this bot can get the job done in the average home without breaking the bank.

If you're considering a robot vacuum purchase purely based on its ability to leave floors of all types as clean as possible, the Narwal Flow is the best bot you can get. AI-powered navigation, EdgeReach Technology, and anti-tangle brushes clean carpets and hard floors all the way to the edges and into the corners with zero fuss. The multi-function base station, with self-cleaning and drying functions, also makes it a breeze to use.

The Eureka J15 Max Ultra is the best Eureka robot vacuum we've tested to date. It performs very well compared to the best machines on the market in its price tier, and its improved navigation sensors and industry-leading liquid detection make it a great fit for any household where spills are especially common.

Lots of suction power on this RVC, but the overall package could be better for the price

The Xiaomi X20+ robot vacuum with its self-emptying and cleaning station impressed us by mostly staying out of the way and getting on with its job. Dual 4l water tanks, a dust bag in the station that's supposed to last 75 days before needing to be replaced, and a rather large internal battery means once setup you can mostly leave it to clean for a good few weeks before it will require your attention. It isn't a cheap purchase at R12,000 but considering the time it can save you, its probably worth it for most large households.

The Dreame L10S Ultra Gen 2 might not be the cheapest device that will help you clean your home, but it does offer good value for your money. The self-emptying and cleaning station, together with the companion app, means you can mostly forget about it for a few weeks after it's setup. And the fact that it can automatically add detergent means its ready to tackle tougher messes.
