The Lenovo Legion 9i Gen 10 gaming laptop features a stunning 18-inch display, a premium design with customizable RGB lighting, and a heavyweight combo of the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. It’s an excellent choice for gamers seeking desktop-level power and an immersive display.  

Another cheap gaming laptop arrives at the Bloq, and it's the same old story: these machines are great for creative work, as long as you're not into heavy 3D rendering, and while the Lenovo LOQ 15i Gen 10 is cheaper than many options it's big and heavy, and you'll want an external screen.

While the Asus TUF Gaming F16 (2025) offers a good gaming experience and everything else, its weak price-to-performance ratio (and a couple of better value alternatives in the market) keeps it from being an easy recommendation.

Low-cost (though still about a grand) gaming laptops can make effective creative machines, with their strong CPU and GPU performance. This one from Acer proves that, with enough power for video editing, a bit of rendering, and flying through 2D graphics. It’s a bit big and loud and heavy, but that’s the price you pay for not spending more.

Lenovo has played a blinder with the latest Legion 5. This is a terrific deal in the current gaming laptop climate – one of the most affordable ways to get an Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series card in a brand new laptop. In short: it's a laptop that does exactly what it says on the tin, in the best way possible, and will be hard to beat.

With a gorgeous design, superb screen, and fantastic gaming performance, the Razer Blade 14 is one hell of a gaming laptop. However, its slim and portable design doesn't have room for a particularly big battery, so its glories are short-lived away from a power outlet.

The Alienware m16 R2 (2024) offers a sleek, redesigned premium build with a solid gaming performance. However, the display and GPU options available this year could be better.

The Gigabyte AORUS MASTER 16 is one of the most powerful laptops we’ve reviewed. Equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, an NVIDIA RTX 5080 laptop GPU and a 1440p OLED screen, the AORUS MASTER 16 is designed to be used for high-fidelity work, or gaming at high settings in your favourite AAA and Esports titles. During the time I’ve had with this laptop, I was impressed with the gaming and workstation performance, the speakers offer crisp and clean audio, the keyboard feels responsive and pleasant to type on, and the design is well thought out offering plenty of RGB lighting for those that like to carry around a portable disco machine. Additionally, the OLED display is the cherry on top, bringing everything together and allowing you to enjoy superb visual fidelity while gaming or working.However, this comes with a significant caveat. The AORUS MASTER 16 is a nearly $4000 laptop. Yes, you read this correctly. Gaming laptops have become increasingly more expensive over the years as manufacturers offer better components designed to go head to head with a desktop machine, but you get the added benefit of portability and several other qualities. If you’re in the market for a high-performance gaming laptop and have plenty of cash to spend, the AORUS MASTER 16 is a no-brainer. However, suppose you don’t need the portability. In that case, we recommend either buying a prebuilt or building your own desktop machine, as it’ll save you a fair amount of money compared to this behemoth of a laptop.

The Acer Nitro 16 (2024) with its Ryzen 7 chip and RTX 4060 graphics is the best gaming laptop you can buy for around Rs. 1.5 lakh today! It's got a fast screen, rich I/O, and plenty of power for games. But the hefty build and the loud fans might have you looking elsewhere for some peace and comfort!

The Alienware 16 Area‑51 (2025) is a powerhouse gaming laptop featuring an Intel Core Ultra H-series CPU, an NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPU, and a mechanical Cherry MX keyboard, all wrapped in a bold, liquid-teal chassis. Its brilliant display packs a punch with an up to 240 Hz refresh rate, a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, and an ultra-bright 500 nits. Its specs make it a legitimate desktop replacement, with a few small limitations.  

This may be meant as a gaming laptop, but its combination of some of the best components currently out there means it’s a creator’s dream too. It’s enormous, can get hot and loud and shouldn’t be used on your lap, but it carries an excellent screen to complement its processing power.

There’s laptops which exist to prove a point, to showcase the skills of engineers, to meet imagined rather than real need. The Acer Predator Helios 16 AI is one such example, meant to display unmatched power over everything else, and it mostly succeeds. Power is something it has in abundance, there’s nary a task outside of very specialised work that can trouble it. But it is big, heavy, noisy and needs to live plugged in. If you need the most power money can buy, it’s for you, for others, there’s more specialised options available elsewhere.

The Overclockers Pinnacle is a fascinating gaming laptop that should appeal to many creative pros because of the power and capabilities it contains. With Thunderbolt 5 ports on board and an 18-inch screen, it's great for photo and video work, and its AI performance is top-tier, but it's perhaps the bulkiest and chonkiest laptop I've ever used, so you better find a permanent place for it, because this is the very definition of a desktop replacement laptop.

The MSI Raider A18 HX A9W gaming laptop is the best gaming laptop money can buy. Between the 9955HX3D and RTX 5090, it offers desktop-class performance that screams through 4K 120FPS gaming wherever you are.

Razer's new iteration of the Blade 18 (2025) is exactly what you expect it would be: an all-out showcase of the world's most powerful gaming laptop hardware. It's a weighty monster that'll crush any game you throw at it, as long as you're on AC power and have space to set it up and wear some headphones when you're playing, because the fans still get loud — tornado loud. You could happily settle for an 'entry-level' RTX 5070 Ti variant at a more sensible price, but you also could get the absolute best in the business with a 5090 if you really wanted to. Check Amazon

The ROG Zephrus G16 (GU605C) is a competitive gaming laptop alternative to the Razer Blade 16. It's more than capable of keeping up with AAA gaming as well as your daily work or school workflows. The simple design with Slash lighting on the lid looks good in casual and formal settings, too. Just be aware that the fans can get a bit whiny and parts ot the laptop get very hot to the touch.

Packed full of power, the Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 is an incredibly capable laptop with an impressively RGB-clad exterior. If you're after a gaming laptop that's still somewhat portable but doesn't compromise at all on performance, it delivers. However, battery life isn't great and it does come at a high price.

The return of the Area-51 laptop brings forth a pretty device with an excellent feel, but it doesn't offer the best display for its price.

The Lenovo Legion 9i packs great game performance in a stylish design, but it comes with a few caveats.

Razer?s Blade 18 outperforms basically everything else out there, with an exception or two. This relatively quiet gaming notebook does suffer from the short battery life of its rivals, and the default 4K screen is so good that the cool dual-resolution mode will probably go underused.

The Asus V16 aims at the budget class of all-purpose laptops, a jack of all trades around the 1000 USD/EUR/GBP mark. That means it has to compromise here and there, so you're getting a fair chassis with alright ergonomics, but older generation hardware, a washed out display and lousy audio. The RTX 5050 configuration discussed here is arguably an interesting performer, but still needs to come down in price to be a competitive choice - should happen later in the year.
