asus zenbook a14 review 2025 ux3407 model snapdragon ProsCons...

While the Asus Zenbook A14 is an interesting chassis evolution within the Zenbook lineup, with a lightweight design and excellent ergonomics, I find the overall positioning of this series rather questionable, especially in this top-specced and expensive Snapdragon X1 Elite UX3407RA configuration. E expect better value in the mid-specced X1 and X1 Plus variants once available, as those are a better fit for a portable daily-use laptop with a much more affordable price tag.

Pros

  • lightweight chassis, solid build
  • plenty of ports, great ergonomics
  • beautiful OLED non-touch display
  • fair capabilities with daily-use and multitasking
  • 70 Wh battery and excellent runtimes

Cons

  • only a 60Hz OLED display
  • there's still only so much you can do on Windows on ARM
  • limited graphics performance
  • X1 Elite configurations are expensive

asus zenbook 14 um3406ka longer term review 2025 model amd ryzen ai 7 35...

This 2025 UM3406KA version of the Asus Zenbook 14 is an excellent daily-use ultrabook, especially with the discounts I'm seeing as of the second part of the year. It's built on the solid and ergonomic Zenbook 14 chassis refined over so many years now, with excellent inputs and IO and a beautiful OLED displays, and offers a balanced AMD Krackan hardware platform, well optimized for quiet and efficiency use with daily activities and multitasking. On the other hand, I wouldn't get this for sustained performance in demanding loads, it's not where it excels.

Pros

  • compact and lightweight, premium design, good ergonomics
  • excellent inputs, IO, OLED display
  • fair performance for daily use and multitasking
  • Standard and Whisper mode are where this excels
  • the fan stays mostly idle with general use
  • 75 Wh battery and excellent efficiency
  • decent audio

Cons

  • comes in black, thus smudges easily
  • most ports are on the left, and the front lip is rather sharp
  • only a mid-level performer by today's standards
  • runs toasty and quite noisy with sustained loads
  • only comes with WiFi 6E

asus zenbook 14 ux3405ca longer term review 2025 model intel core ultra ...

This 2025 UX3405CA version of the Asus Zenbook 14 is still an excellent daily-use ultrabook, much like its AMD counterpart. It's mostly the same chassis and functionality, but comes in different colors and with a few extra features, and can be significantly faster with sustained loads thanks to the Arrow Lake H hardware inside. At the same time, though, it doesn't run as efficiently or as quietly as the AMD model with light use and daily multitasking, which might matter more to potential buyers than the more capable specs.

Pros

  • compact and lightweight, premium design, good ergonomics
  • available in gray, silver or blue colors
  • excellent inputs, IO, OLED display
  • solid sustained performance for this segment
  • Standard mode is an solid mid-level profile
  • 75 Wh battery and good efficiency
  • decent audio
  • offers WiFi 7 and TB4, unlike the AMD model

Cons

  • most ports are on the left, and the front lip is rather sharp
  • runs toasty and quite noisy on Performance mode
  • the fan is always active, even with light use
  • generally more expensive than the AMD variant

Generally Recommended, OLED Display, screen glare, MacBook Air with M4, Good Value
